Vinci announced a turnover for the third quarter higher than that achieved over the same period before the health crisis, driven by its energy and construction sectors.

But the French building and transport infrastructure giant forecasts results for the year 2021 still "below their 2019 level", after a 61.9% drop in its net profit in 2020, to 1.24 billion euros. euros. Between July and September, Vinci generated a turnover of 13.2 billion euros, an increase of 0.8% compared to the same period in 2019 and 7.8% compared to that of 2020.

The Construction division continues to drive the group, with Vinci Energies confirming its momentum: the two branches are showing turnover at their pre-crisis levels. Indeed, Vinci Construction achieved a turnover of approximately 7.1 billion euros (+5.1%) in the third quarter, or more than half of the group's total revenue.

Its French market, which represents 49% of its activity, is notably driven by the Grand Paris Express projects. As for Vinci Energies, its turnover increased by 7.3% compared to 2020 and 8% compared to 2019.

The transport branch still suffers from the health crisis

The airport branch remains the only one to suffer greatly from the health crisis with levels of turnover and passenger traffic more than half those of 2019. However, the group "is observing a gradual recovery in its traffic after a difficult start to the year" and "expects passenger traffic in 2021 to be very close to that of 2020".

Sign of the "good financial situation" of the group, Vinci will resume its share buyback program, within the limit of 200 million euros, interrupted in March 2020.
