What is the weight of a newborn at birth?

There are baby weights that are considered normal. Defined by doctor Lyonel Rossant, pediatrician, a newborn weighs between 2600 grams and 4000 grams with an average of 3500 grams. From the first three or four days, the baby loses about 10% of its weight and this is completely normal. 15 days after delivery, the newborn returns to its initial weight. At one year, the latter will reach its triple. As for the size of the infant, it is on average 50 centimeters for a gain of 25 centimeters at twelve months. His head circumference at birth is between 32 and 36 centimeters and increases by almost 12 centimeters in one year. As soon as it is born, the temperature of this newborn is higher than that of an adult. Like weight and height, it drops and then rises to 37 degrees eight hours later. Extremities such as the feet and hands remain cooler than the body. It is for this reason that at this age the baby needs more temperature. However, excessive heat can harm the infant's health.
