The Minister of Justice announced, on October 22, 2021, new measures which must become effective during 2022, when the bill is tabled in the Chamber of Deputies.

Cultivate and consume at home

These concern the cultivation of cannabis.It will be authorized at the rate of four plants per household and made yourself from seeds, according to the Luxembourg Ministry of Justice which specifies that this culture will be strictly limited to the home.

On the other hand, the use of this cannabis will remain in the private sphere.The authorities maintain the ban on consuming on the public highway.

In itself, the fine inflicted by the police will go from 25 euros to 500 euros, against 251 euros at 2,500 euros currently.The offense will no longer be registered in the criminal record.
