Available since Wednesday November 10, 2021, the Nobuy application offers you to avoid this purchase. Designed in Roubaix in the Euratech incubator, the latter aims to facilitate borrowing or renting between relatives.Going faster than Amazon

When ordering on Amazon or going to the local business, to buy the item you are looking for, is faster than asking relatives to borrow or rent, Nobuy says stop . This application is not intended to reinvent the concept of loan or rental, but to facilitate it. "The idea is to offer an alternative to buying by going faster than Amazon", explain the two friends and founders of the application, Florent Vanhove and Waël Abou Dahr.

To do this, the application only needs three things: your friends, the goods you offer to lend and your location. Their addition allows you to create a resource catalog around your position. Then, “you simply have to search for the desired object, see who has it and if it is available now, then click to borrow it,” says Waël Abou Dahr. Non-binding and fast, these are the watchwords of the two creators.

The entire application is based on these principles, just like object referencing. Thanks to numerous categories (tools, games, clothing, etc.) and sub-categories (drill, screwdriver, hammer, etc.), goods can be added in a few clicks. No need to waste energy detailing and photographing each one.

Reminder and eco-responsible

Don't panic for the heads in the air, a reminder function with reminder has been integrated. Also, for ease of use, the creators undertake not to collect personal data and not to display ads. “Promoting the alternative to buying while offering ads would have been a misinterpretation,” underlines Florent Vanhove.

Currently reserved for use with friends, the founders want to go further with Nobuy. For this, they want to integrate associations and stores that offer loans or rentals. Thus, it is an increasing offer and a decreasing carbon footprint. At a time when ecology is no longer a question, valuing use rather than ownership is… commendable.
