100 years of history

In 1920, the English company (Holophane Limited) joined forces with a French industrialist to create a production site and installed glassware in Andelys.Thus was born Holophane his.

For over 100 years now, Holophane has been distinguished by her double mastery of the pressed glass and optics.

Originally linked to lighting and decorative applications, Holophane quickly evolved into more technical applications intended for various sectors such as table arts, luxury bottles, urban lighting, architecture and especially the automobile, sector in which it is the world leader in glass components for lighting.

Two exhibition weekends

Les Andelys. La verrerie Holophane fête ses 100 ans ce week-end

A century of history which will be retraced in an exceptional exhibition, which will be held at the Glass Museum within the Fontainets Domaine on weekends of 18-19 and 25-26 September.

More than a thousand pieces, some of which will be presented to the public with the assistance of the company chaired by Laurent Guérin, friends of the Andelys heritage chaired by François Bonnet and private collectors.
