Pink October: in Biarritz, a specialized shop for women with cancer

In 2017, Marine Labat, then 27 years old, was diagnosed with breast cancer. For more than a year and a half, she will follow heavy treatments. And it was then that the young Biarrote had the idea of ​​setting up a store for women with cancer.

This initiative was born in the face of the lack of possibilities that Marine Labat felt during her convalescence. The objective of the shop is to provide a space of comfort in order to better meet the needs of people with cancer through adapted underwear, body care or even sharing workshops.

A place for meetings and exchanges

Marine Labat has set up her establishment in the center of Biarritz. Bizaldi's manager wanted to design a warm and welcoming place for her future clients. "I wanted to create a place where I could find everything I needed during these treatments. All in a shop that was normal, far from medical and not stigmatizing," explains the 32-year-old young woman.

This trade seems to meet the needs of many people who now feel more comfortable with the disease. "I've been in treatment for breast cancer for a year. At the beginning, we spend a lot of time in the pharmacy. And going to the pharmacy for the choice of a bra, it's not very sexy. Which attracted me to this store, it is its setting and that it is ordinary", explains Stéphanie Som, a client of Bizaldi.

Marine Labat offers sophrology and socio-aesthetic workshops within its brand. Also, clients can make an appointment with her to talk about their needs in complete privacy. Because trade wants to be a place of comfort.
